Kevin is a professional manager with extensive experience and expertise in program and project management, program design, and research in the fields of youth leadership and empowerment, and technical and vocational education and training. He has over 28 years of work experience in Kenya, Burundi, Ethiopia, Madagascar, Zimbabwe and the United States. Kevin served as the Executive Director of the Hands On The Future Kenya Skills Show in 2017 and 2019, convened by the Permanent Working Group on TVET in Kenya and the TVET Authority of the Ministry of Education. He also served as the Interim Chief of Party for the USAID-funded Kenya Youth Employment and Skills Program (K-YES) and as Partnerships & Development Consultant for the Housing Finance Foundation’s Army of One Million Artisans campaign.
Previously he was the General Manager of Program Design and Development for the Equity Group Foundation and helped launch the Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) East Africa Regional Leadership Center, an initiative of former U.S. President Obama. Kevin holds a B.A. Environmental Studies & Journalism—Ohio Wesleyan University and a Postgraduate Diploma in Land and Agrarian Studies from the Institute for Poverty, Land and Agrarian Studies at the University of the Western Cape.
